Mental Illness: The Church’s Response

The Georgia Mental Health Initiative (GAMHI) has provided a new resource developed by Rev. Erica Geralds, GAMHI administrator, for churches trying to create communities of compassion and care that include persons who are experiencing a mental health challenge. This comprehensive powerpoint for clergy and laypersons will answer your mental health-related questions, whether they are about helping a friend or congregant, or when to refer someone for mental health support. The material was presented at a recent Upgrade Thursdays event; for a recording of the presentation, contact the Regional Office.
