Clergy Requirements
There are several requirements for Georgia Disciples clergy who wish to maintain standing in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
Ministerial Standing - Standing form completed annually
Healthy Boundaries - Workshop completed every 5 years
Pro-reconciliation/ Anti-racism - Workshop completed every 5 years
Search and Call - Process to be used for seeking a church or call

Georgia Clergy District Meetings - monthly meetings connecting Georgia clergy
Clergy Connect - quarterly one-hour meetings with various clergy groups to connect and encourage
Office Hours with Dr. Denise Bell - Dr. Bell invites DOC clergy to a drop-in Zoom call from 12-1 pm or 7-8 pm every Tuesday during 2023 through November 14, 2023
Ministry Assistance Program - Free, confidential counseling for clergy
Sabbatical Support - Grant support through Christian Theological Seminary
Pension Fund - Pension and retirement system for Disciples clergy and employees
Commission on Ministry
The Commission on Ministry (COM) counsels those who seek ordination, commissioning, or ministerial standing both within the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and from other Christian bodies.
