The Christian Church in Georgia is happy to announce its 171st Regional Assembly, taking place April 25-27, 2024, convening around the theme of “Telling Our Stories: Celebrating Hope in Our Shared Journey.”

Regional Youth Assembly
Disciples youth and their friends in grades 6-12 are invited to the annual Regional Youth Assembly at Epworth By the Sea, St. Simons, GA.

Summer Camp for children and youth takes place each summer at Camp Christian Conference Center, an outdoor sanctuary located near the geographic center of the state in Gordon, GA. Junior Camp is for children who have completed grades 3-5. Learn more here.

OASIS Day Camp is a mission experience for Georgia Disciples older youth and adults as they serve in a day camp for Wilkerson County elementary students. Learn more here.

Understanding Ministry OF Children
In this Upgrade Thursdays workshop, you can test the waters on expanding your own paradigm of the ministry OF children as Rev. Dr. Gloria McCall leads us in exploring the historical role of children in the advancement of the gospel message and the questions of children’s ministry.

Know the Basics on Preventing Child Abuse
A workshop, presented by the Georgia Mental Health Initiative (GAMHI), will cover some essentials about this important topic. Featured speakers will be Rev. Debi Acree and Rev. Dr. Diane Bales. More information to follow.

CYF Conference
Summer camp is back – in-person – at Camp Christian, with CYF Conference (high school) kicking off the season June 14-19. Learn more about the safety precautions for youth and children’s camps and register here.
Youth Spring Retreat
The Georgia Disciples Youth Activities Council is hosting a Spring Retreat at our Camp Christian Camp and Conference Center. Due to COVID-19, they could not host the February Youth Assembly at Epworth By the Sea; instead, they will gather at the fire pit at Camp Christian on Saturday, April 24 for middle school and Sunday, April 25 for high school students. The event meets CDC requirements and has established COVID-19 safe precautions. Registration is $25.00 with an additional cost of $10.00 for T-Shirts. Registration information is on the way.
Run for Camp Christian
With the hope of holding in-person youth camp this summer, Camp Christian is looking forward – and planning the 2021 Camp Christian Virtual 5K Walk/Run Fundraiser. It’s easy – just walk or run a 5k anywhere you want between April 9-11, 2021. Grab your running buddies, your camp buddies, and your church buddies, and get out there! After you run, you can record your time and post it to the events page. Take some pictures, sing a camp song, and let's raise some money for Camp Christian!
