2024 Registration Instructions for Campers, CIT’S, Counselors, Directors

The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Georgia believes that camp and conference provide an opportunity for children, youth, and adults to step away from their day-to-day routines and focus more intensely on their relationship with God, to experience Christian community, and to practice living out their spiritual values in a supportive atmosphere.

Camp takes place each summer at Camp Christian Conference Center, a sanctuary located in the deep woods of middle Georgia. Children, youth, and adults alike experience God in this beautiful 350-acre outdoor setting, established in 1963. 

​In addition, there are numerous recreation possibilities at Camp Christian: volleyball, soccer, basketball, football, kickball, softball, non-competitive games, badminton, croquet, ping pong, swimming, hiking, crafts, and table games. No one gets bored with so many opportunities to make new friends and share in Christian community.

Select camp based on the correct grade completed at the end of your school system 2023/2024 year. Campers are not allowed to go “up” or “down” a camp level.

  1. Payment of fees is due upon registration. Choose the way you will submit fees: Payment may be made through your church (which will then issue a check to the Region), credit card personal bank check. 

  2. Partial Scholarship: Attention churches and individuals We have a limited number of  partial scholarships available in case your church is unable to help a camper with the fees. These are designated on a need’s basis for regional church families.   Please contact  campoffice@gadisciples.org  and  give information ABOUT THE CAMPER (CHURCH, NAME, CAMP TO BE ATTENDED) AND explain the need for a partial scholarship. After Pam or Marilyn contact you with instructions, then register on the website.

  3. Parent should be prepared to list any experience for older campers- previous service as a CIT, helper in church Sunday School, music (guitar, piano), Life Guard Certification or First Aid Certification with certificates and dates, etc.

  4. Prior to camp, campers will receive a letter from the camp director about the specific camp, including a packing list. You will receive contact information for your director(s).

  5. When your application is received, you will be notified and given further instructions by the Regional Camp Ministry Directors, if needed.

  6. A medical release form is part of the registration process this year. After completing registration, scan a copy of your insurance card and email to campoffice@gadisciples.org four weeks prior to the camp or can be sent now. This can also be mailed to  Marilyn Parks,  Summer Camp,  2278 Herring Woods Way, Grayson, GA 30017 2306 

  7. Covenants are posted on the website for campers, CIT’s, counselors, and directors.  Please read them and be prepared to sign one at camp indicating abiding by the covenant for your camp.
