Juniors and seniors, 18 in all, from Georgia Disciple congregations gathered at Camp Christian Conference Center in March for “Directions” an event designed by the Christian College of Georgia.

The youth, sponsors, and retreat leaders talked in part about the differences between careers, occupations, and jobs. Youth learned that work was a place to do ministry and a way that a person could express the gifts God has given them. Participants left the event having learned something about their interests and talents and how they could journey toward a balanced life of ministry in the work world.

The Christian College is planning to hold “Directions” annually. Dates for next year will be March 12-14, 2004. The College held another vocational event in February for ministers. The event helped ministers explore the impact of vocation on local congregations. The dates for next years event will be February 10-11, 2004.
