Renae and Jamie BrameKeynoters and Musicians

Renae and Jamie Brame, Black Mountain, NC

Our keynoters and musicians are Renae and Jamie Brame who have been performing music together almost since the day they met. They have led music at youth events, regional assemblies, and churches, as well as music venues in western North Carolina.

Renae Brame was the Executive Director of Swannanoa Valley Christian Ministry in Black Mountain from 2002 - 2016. Prior to that, she was the Superintendent of Black Mountain Correctional Center for Women from 1989 - 2001. She enjoys writing and playing original music, daily prayer time, walking, water-color painting, decorating, stained-glass making, and many other arts and crafts. She is the author of the book Daily Devotions with Our Beloved. Her second book of daily devotions will be available soon. She is the mother of two grown sons.

The Reverend Jamie Brame is an ordained minister of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the Program Director at Christmount, where he has worked since 1989. Prior to that, he pastored First Christian Church in Dublin, Georgia, and served several student pastorates while at Atlantic Christian College and Duke Divinity School. He is an avid reader and enjoys leading prayer retreats, as well as his continuing involvement in youth ministry through the Christmount camping program. He has keynoted regional youth events in North Carolina, Georgia, and Kentucky. In February, 2019, he will retire from Christmount.

The Brames live in Black Mountain with their cat, Penny, who is slowly warming to the idea of live music in her house. She helps Renae with book writing and is a good prayer companion!
