The Friendship Circle for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Georgia Outdoor Ministries

By action of the Regional Board the Friendship Circle became the official regional fundraising campaign for all Disciple outdoor ministries in Georgia early in 2006. That means we are now raising money for both Camp Christian and Camp Kicklighter outdoor ministries.
We selected the name “Friendship Circle” because every evening since the first summer camp in Georgia, has closed with a friendship circle. We feel that it is important to remember the many friendship circles that have been joined by those in Georgia who participated in outdoor ministry camps and conferences over the years--even before Camp Christian began its ministry more than 40 years ago. Everyone who ever attended a camp has fond memories of the closing camp friendship circle.
The Outdoor Ministries Advisory Team which oversees these ministries is encouraged in our ministry by the generosity of so many individuals who have given to the circle.
