CAMP BALAAM -
July 8-12, 2007
Camp Balaam is a day camp for
needy 3-5 graders from homes near the camp in Wilkinson County. Rising 11th
and 12th graders are picked to serve as counselors for this event. These
counselors get the opportunity to share the gospel with many kids who have
never attended camp and some who do not have a church home. The curriculum
also helps teach the kids manners and self worth.
WE NEED FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR THIS CAMP
We need help funding this year’s
camp. It costs $20 a day for these kids to come to camp. The total bill
for the camp will depend on attendance, but with attendance around 60 the
cost should be about $3,500 which includes a Camp T-shirt, group picture,
and water bottle for each of the kids. The 11th and 12th grade counselors
each pay to attend and this raises the money needed to pay their expenses,
but we need to cover the other program and administrative expenses. We could
use your help with raising the money needed to cover the day camper costs.
