Monday

Chi Rho Camp came together today for a great beginning with the theme God is Calling!  We will post our group picture tomorrow!  Some of the kids told me to tell everyone that they are planning a great worship service tonight and that everyone is having a blast!

We made new friends and renewed friendships.

We had great fun during rec time today.

Paddle Boating

Basketball

Ping Pong.

We also took part in interest groups this afternoon. This group is doing some maintenance on our Prayer Walk Labyrinth.

Tuesday

The forecast calls for fun, study and worship tonight (and no rain here). It is hot and humid and we are working hard to stay cool. Campers and staff are enjoying Camp Christian in the summer heat! Thank goodness we have the air-conditioned Lavery Hall and the pool to cool off in. Don’t worry mom and dad everyone is drinking plenty of water!

Balloon toss is a great way to get wet.

Swimming is best in hot weather.

Big fun in Lavery Hall.

Wednesday

We are having a great time as we hear the message that God is calling all of us to use the gifts we have been given to make the world a better place!

This is great fun! It is called water balloon volleyball!

Yes we are catching them in the sheet and tossing them back to the other team.

We enjoy our times of singing and worship.

We all got mail! Keep those cards, letters, emails and packages coming.

Thursday

Wed. night we shared a hunger meal. You will see from the pictures that some of us ate Lima or butter beans, some ate mashed potatoes, and some got pork chops with potatoes, beans, salad, bread and a dessert. This was a great way for us to learn about hunger in homes around the world. Later we did get to eat the rest of our meal, but we learned a lot from the feelings shared by those who started out the meal with very little to eat.

Our 'Hunger Meal'

This is our Disciples Peace Fellowship Intern who organized the meal.

We had fun during skit night.

This camper is using the important papers.

Friday

Camp concludes today and we will be heading home. Last night we enjoyed a Luau and cook out after we got together for small groups.

We did the Limbo . . .

and generally had a good time!
